My Beveridge clan, began in the small mining village of Halbeath, they later moved to another mining village Townhill. I have found out that William Beveridge, my mother-in-laws g,father owned 3 properties in Townhill. However I am coming up blank finding his wife. My mother cannot remember her name. I know that the time they were in Townhill is around 1890 and that the properties were procurred around 1900`s. William had a son William who married Mary Adamson, date unknown, they had about 6 children. Some of (f)Williams siblings went to America. (s) William had a daughter Chrissie who m. George Duncan they emigrated to Australia. Other children include Euphemia m. Mclaughlan, Kate m. Irvine, John, d young and Agnes my mother-in-law who married Ian Lawrie and I am sure that there will be another William in there somewhere. Chrissie went to Australia either 50`s or 60`s. Hopefully another look in the census records will give me the info I need for going further back. This is like hitting your head of off a brick wall sometimes, especially when none of the family can help. All document I require are possibly at the other side of the world.
