About Our Family Research


The Price Family came from Wales in 1828. Adam Price, wife Nancy(Hatfield)Price and son Adam Hatfield Price, then 4 yrs. old came to Franklin Co. Washington Twp.and settled here. Mr. Price was a broom maker. He taught his son the broom making trade. They planted their own broom corn to make and sell brooms. Their log home was built along a corduroy road (split logs laid side by side)on Price Lane which no longer exists(it is now part of Muirfield Village).Adam Hatfield Price m. Phoebe Huston Oct. 4, 1845. It is told they rode one horse to the Parson's house to be married. They Had 10 son's, the youngest being Fred Thurman Price.
