The main effort of my research has been to find the origins of my gggrandfather William Spradlin, born 1795 in NC, married Francis. Census records show the family living in TN. in 1850, moving to SE Missouri and then to the Rolla, MO area. William's son, John, moved to south Missouri to what is now Howell County. One of John's sons, Charles Rufus, was my grandfather. A cousin, Mary Ann McCullough is also actively researching this line.She has a significant amount of data that was accumulated by our cousin, Marshall Spradlin when he lived. Most of Marshall's data was obtained by visiting the areas.
