I am Sherry (*Higgs) Sprabary, I'm the 7th. of 11 children born to Oliver Leon, and Georgia Mae (*Arrington) Higgs.
Oliver ,(son of John Richard,(born between 1869& 1872),& Lina May (Jay) Higgs,(born about 1878 maybe in Georgia).Oliver Leon Higgs was a skilled carpenter and worked up to retirement at a local University as a carpenter.(born October,1913 died June,1986.)
Georgia,(born to Newton H.(Doc)and Ruby(Hays)Arrington.)Was a hard working mother and housewife. Together they had 11 children.(born Feb.,1916, died April,1988)

If you have any information as far as Oliver's parents that would be helpful. John R. Higgs was blind and lived with his daughter Virgie & son-in-law Pet Laster in Denton untill his death November, 1960. I never knew either of my grandmothers they both died before I was born. My mother's mother, Ruby is the daughter of William Avery,& Mollie D. (Graham)Hays Sr.,and granddaughter of Reuben Glover, & Mary Ann (Tripp) Hays. Any help on either side of my family would be very helpful. (Click family tree below.) Also searching husband's side (Sprabary).Any info. on the family of Archibald Spraberry that came from Mecklenburg Co. N.C. & son Uriah (about 1790(?)).
