The southern italian (Sicily) family I am related to is NOLASCO. The family origin in Sicily is Partinco.

Giaccomo (Jacob) Nolasco married Mariana Amato. They appear in the 1920 census: Kings County, Brooklyn, New York.

I descend from Providenza Florence Nolasco. She married Salvatore Brigagliano.

Her brother and sisters:

Lucy, Francesca, Concetta, John (Giovanni), Jenny. One of these sisters was probably born Giovanna. Two of the sisters I know married spouses with the surname Amoroso, and Bacarella.

An Ignazio Nolasco is listed in the Ellis Island Passenger Manifests and I don't know if Giaccomo Nolasco is the same person.
