I am looking for circus artists who are connected to the GOLDKETTE family:
BRONETT, BLUMENFELD, GOUDSMIT (Gaudsmit), KRIVOR, STRASSBURGER, ALTHOFF, GAUTIER, KONYOT(Könyöt),KINSBERGEN, BLANES, STEIN.
They must travelled in Austria, Germany, Polen, Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Netherland, Belgium but some immigrated to USA (like Jean Goldkette wellknown jazz pianist and orchesterleader in USA).
and ELISABETH FUNK/FUNCH (called Nanette/Henriette Goldkette) born 1800 Bayern, Germany. The parents was very poor schoolteacher in Bayern. When Elisabeth was abt 8 years old, her mother sold her for 100 Daler to the circusdirector Wulff Levi 1778-1833) called Louis/Levy Goldkette. The Circusdirector Louis/Levy Goldkette spanked the little girl to go on a line in his circus, and she growned up together with his children: Hartwig, Herman and Caroline Goldkette (their mother: Therese Schlaum).1816 Louis/Levy Goldkette pregnaded Elisabeth and sept 1816 the couple got a son in Næstved, Denmark.
Elisabeth was a linedancer in Circus Goldkette abt 1808-1833. After the fosterfathers dead 1833 and maybe before she became her freedom, and she later married a man in Berlin, Germany - and in 1866 the son in Denmark visited her, and they corresponded many years after.

b 1816 Næstved, Denmark, written into Mosaisk books, put to a fosterhome to a family by the name Sørensen 1817 Fåborg, Denmark. Cristening 1830 in Fåborg church to the name Frederik Christian Sørensen. He was married 2 times and I know some of the ancestors still live in Fåborg, Denmark. He built his house Grønnegade 61, Fåborg, Denmark and it still stand and is very beautiful.
about JEAN GOLDKETTE b 1893 Patras, Greece - immigrated 1910 with his mother Angeline Goldkette, singer (she was the daughter of Louis Goldkette b 1834 married with Jeanette Goudsmit). Jean was a very wellknown jazz pianist and orchesterleader in USA, and died 24 marts 1962 Santa Barbara, California, USA.
Who was the father? of Jean Goldkette. /the rumors says that it was the prince Konstantin I of Greece.
they got Jean 1893.
The mother Angeline later married John William Koliakoff, born in Russia, journalist.
Some of the circus family Goldkette still live in Sweden today -the brothers Bronett, who owns the Circus Scott.
