THE OSUNA FAMILY OF EARLY CALIFORNIA

Updated January 29, 2003

About Our Family Research

We trace our family as far back as the early settlers of San Diego in 1769 arriving with the Gaspar Portola expedition. His name was Juan Ismerio De Osuna, a Corporal in the Spanish Army. His son Juan Maria Osuna was Alclade de San Diego (Mayor). Their children have gone on to cover much of the United States.
We are related to many of the families that started San Diego. We're related to Marron, Silvas, Lopez, Arballo, Crosthwaite, Alvarado and many more. Our research includes the internet and also workshops held every 3 months or so in Old Town San Diego, right where it all began. The dates of the workshops and Decendants Day (late June) will be posted in the Osuna forum.
