Instructions in Dr. Webb's handwriting no date: "Give Alsey a teaspoonful of the mixture in the large vial every 3 hours beginning about one hour after breakfast use the [?] 2 or 3 times a day. Give her a dovers Powder every night, as soon as her feverish symptoms subside give her ten drops of Elixer Vittriol keeo her bowels open with calomel ten gr. and work off with Castor oil as soon as the whites stop give her ten Drops of tincture steel in a little tea 4 times a day. Give Fanny..."
James Webb (Hillsborough) to TDB 22 Jan 1827: "I regret exceedingly to hear that both Alsey and Fanny are dead. The latter I thot in bad health but did not syspose her dangerous. I rather think the extreme cold weather must have had a very unfavourable influence over persons who were [infected?] and debilitated It often does."
