PCC to DC (Ral) 11 Jun 1842: "Nancy one of our house servants was sent out of the house on Sunday with a very sore throat, she has had fever. but is better. A number of cases have been accompanied with sore throat. And one of the most common and earliest symptoms complained of was pain in the ear."

PCC to DC (Ral) 4 Apr 1844: "Both [Cam. children] have been too closely confined to the House. Anne has not been able to accompany them about the yard, & she will not, and ought not to trust them with Suse or Nancy."
