Having just started researching my family tree i would like to hear from any other Stephensons out their who think they may be connected to me in some way.
I am 41 years of age and was born in Penrith, Cumbria in 1959
i married Heather Buckle of Great Strickland in 1988 and we have two children Eden born 1997 and Morgan 1999.
My father Adam was born at Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria in 1934. He married my mother Shirley Jackson in 1955.They have 3 other children Shirley,Judith & Ian.
My Grandfather Joseph Albert Stephenson was born in Kirkby Stephen in 1908 he was the son of Joseph Stephenson and his second wife Mary Elizabeth Proud.He married Edith Annie blaylock & they had 4 children Adam,Edith May,Robert & Margaret.
Robert was named after Joseph Alberts stepbrother who was killed in the Great War on the Somme 1st July 1916.
My Great Grandfather Joseph died in 1916 aged 53, He worked on the Midland Railway at Kirkby Stephen as did his son Robert.
He married twice his second wife being Mary Elizabeth Proud.
My Great, Great Grandfather John Died in Kirkby Stephen in 1904 Aged 81 years.
