I have researched my family tree back to about 1700 in England.The problem arises that several members of the family had children and named them after the parents. Also when there were marriages I found that some of the earlier generations also had the same names. It makes delving back difficult and confusing when we ask questions and my parents or my wifes parents think that you are talking about their side of the family. I am new to this and seek guidence to delve further back. A recent wedding in the family and the coming of the next millennium makes me want to record the family tree. I have got a time capsule ready to keep it in.
