About Our Family Research

The initial work of this Suggs family tree was done by my Uncle William Wofford Suggs in the 1960's to the best of my knowledge.
His work and connections were with direct contact with early family members or with historical records and family bible.
He lived in Watertown, NY

I'm trying to continue the development of our tree with the use of current technology and the use of a computer and the internet on a world wide basis.

To date (July 2004) the earliest Suggs in the family is listed as John Suggs, Sr. a Baptist minister who resided in Greenville Dist. South Carolina. Birth 1797, Death June 27th 1890 in Habersham, County Georgia.

He had seven children, the first three were - George W.,
John Jr., and Edward K. all Baptis Ministers. then Jesse, Adeline, Winnie and Kensey. My information flows down the John Jr's tree.
