My family roots go back to Poland and Besarabia and Ukraine. Our family name is Gilinets. My paternal grandmother Honna and maternal grandmother Feyga were sisters, and their maiden name was Golub. They were born in Poland, but later on moved to Bessarabia region of Romania. Honna Golub was married to Yankel Gilinets from Odessa, Ukraine, and they had 4 sons: Boris, Mikhail, Moyshe, Syoma. The family moved to Rybnitza, Bessarabia and lived there until 1941. Boris Gilinets crossed the boarder to Russia in 1930's and after the WWII settled in Khabarovsk. Honna Golub and her 3 younger sons were first in Ghetto and than in a concentration camps during WWII and all survived. After the libiration they settled in Chernovtsy, Ukraine(Bukovina). Feyga Golub was married to Yosl Slipak from Soroca, Bessarabia, and they had 4 daughters: Lydia, Malka, Gitl, Riva, and 2 sons Yakov and Daneel. Later the family moved to Beltz, Romania and lived there until 1941. During the WWII after being scattered all over Russia, surviving family members ended up in Kuybishev, RUssia. Lydia and her son Yosif moved to city of Chelyabinsk in Ural, where Lydia died in 1980's. Malka (Maria) got married and settled with her husband Vasily in Kuybishev, RUssia. Gitl Fikhman moved back home to Beltz, Moldavia. Riva moved to Chernovtsy, Ukraine (Bukovina) and married her 1st cousin Syoma Gilinets. They divorced in 1967, and Syoma remarried. In January of 1980 Riva immigrated to USA with her daughter Ina Svayg. Yakov Borovsky(Slipak) and his family immigrated to Israel in 1972. Daneel Slipak was killed in the begginig of WWII.
