My family tree research got a kick start on my Maternal side from a cousin's, "Wayne Ensley", prior research, which was mostly by-hand, onsite interviews of living forebearers and the "family bibles" and other documents and visiting local gravesites. His was a loving, labor intensive manual process of filling out and fileing of many individual "family data sheets". Thanks Wayne!
My efforts at family history began in the middle of the home computer revolution. With the help of ever better "home tree" programs and the intensive conversion of millions of facts and data from local archives into internet accessible databases by genealogists through-out the world and in a very large part due to the efforts by the Mormons in St. Lake, UT., it was an exciting time to be involved in family research! People and facts could be discovered and/or uncovered in hours what might have previously took weeks, months and years to locate and prove. Thus the adventure of discovery begins.....
