The Lyon family of Washington is getting smaller. My two brothers and two sister and father are the only member left that we know of. I was told when I was young that my grandfather Archibald T. Lyon was from Co. and went to high school at E.H.S.
He was in to track and basketball. My grandfather also was a teacher when he came to Washington, teaching in a one room class of all grades. I've also been told of outlaw family including Jesse James as one, I don't know if this is true or just a family story that was told in the middle of the winter when the snow was heavy and the family just wanted to entertain each other. Whatever any of my family history is, I would like to find out, I believe every person should know about their roots and what their ancestors were like. To help fill a void most people seem to have. My two brothers names are Teddy Russell Lyon born 06/19/1953, with two boys and two girls and James Louis Lyon born 04/22/1960,with three boys and three girls. My two sister are Donna Lois (Lyon) Davis born 06/28/1951,with two boys and Cindy Lee (Lyon) born 08/14/1954,with two boys and one girl and I am Barbara Michele (Lyon) Swantak born 03/29/1959,with one boy and one girl. My whole family has been very fortunate with health and happiness until this year, tragedy hit home, my son of 18 years was in an accident and is now paralized from the waist down, one of the reasons I am tracing our family tree is to get him interested and hopefully fullfill his time with a project that I believe he will throughly enjoy.
I also need to enter my fathers name. His name is Donald Lee Lyon born 08/25/1931. He married my mother Lois Ann Perry on November 18,1950, in Shelton, Wa.
