My grandmothers Banton, Brown, & Bryant family history Updated November 29, 2002
About Our Family Research
My family research is a work in progress.
I am researching My maternal grandmother's family line which revert to the Bantons, Browns, & Bryants of Buckingham, Nelson, Albemarle, & Fluvanna Counties.
When I first started this project, I didn't know what to expect. Thanks to generous Bryant & Brown cousins out of Virginia, I was able to gather history on these family names last year. They have been a "god-sent" in my research and have provided a good start for me (on my journey). This year, I have been able to gather information on the Bantons thanks to many Banton descendants from everywhere. This family line can be traced throughout many states and because of the amount of Banton information to decifer--I haven't quite finished this research. Providing as many accurate resources as possible to all interested is important to me :-)
A promise to my Mom-Betty Micklem Swanson, to learn as much as I can about our ancestors, has become more than that. I feel blessed to have made contact with every single person since this search has began. It's this generosity and willingness to share that keeps me going.
To view more information on myself, click onto the "Dina's Virtual Web Book" link. I have also provided more information on my Micklem family on the Family Tree Maker homepage--please visit.
Whatever brought you to this page, I hope that you will find information in regards to "whatever" it is you seek.
