I am researching The Thomas Canum Family who came from Peterborough area of England in 1852. William Canum was already here and the father, daughter Mary and son Mark arrived in New Orleans where Thomas died. Son Thomas came over the following year. They settled in Mercer County and eventually Joseph Howard Canum met and married Rachel Park, the daughter of Russell and Elizabeth Henry Park of Aledo, Illinois.

I am also researching the Doerksen Family which includes Wiens and Harders. THe Doerksens came over in 1874 from Ukraine and settled in Kansas. This also includes the Thiessens. Abraham Thiessen lived in Ellerwald, West Prussia and the family migrated to Ukraine from there.

At this point I am interested in gaining more information about the Canum and PArk families in the 1700's.
