"The Nels E. Swansons of Pineville, MO" Updated November 9, 2000
About Our Family Research
No News, but I am looking for all relatives of My father; Nels Arnold Swanson Born to Nels Oscar Swanson and Annetta Louise Hillman on April 12, 1915 at Lestervill SD. They moved to Hutchinson County when he was little. His mom Annetta Louise was raised by her mom and Will Beaty. She was born in 1880 and her dad George Hillman died after planting the potatoes and mrs. Hillman married Will Beaty the same year because she was a widow and needed a man out on the prairie. They had among other children Earnest Beaty, Clara Beaty, and Alfred Beaty who married an Idabell. Mrs Beatty [My paternal great-grandmother] died in 1896 when my grandmother was 16 years old. She raised Ernest, Clara, and Alfred until supposedly she married Nels Oscar Swanson June 28,1911. They had a pair of twins and those were both born dead and then their next and only surviving son was Nels Arnold Swanson. Nels Oscars' brother August Swanson died 1934 in Winevell CA [now Mira Loma, very close to Fontana]. Nels Oscar and August Swanson had at least 2 sisters Annie and Emma. They were all born in Sweden and their Dad supposedly also a Nels changed his name to swanson from Svensson after immigrating from malmow which is north of stockholm Sweden. My Mother is Marva Jean Moon Swanson born 12-20-1933 to Ozro Moon and Buena Slater in Michigan and their family tree is very well researched and I plan on contacting them since I am somewhat getting interested in geneology. I have a brother; Robert Paul Swanson, Born 12-04-69 in Siloam Springs Ar. and two sisters Charlotte Ann Swanson Robinson; born 7-15-61 at Ozark AR. Also Darla Jean Swanson Taylor born at Boonville Ar. 7-27-65. If anyone knows any of the decendents of the Beatys or the Hillmans feel free to email me.
