My father was Thomas Orvil Jones who was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1902. HIs wife is Marion Huff Jones of Cedar Springs, MI. They lived in Greenville,MI. He died on August 26, 1998 in Newaygo, Michigan.
His Great-grandparents on his father's side were Henry and Rebekkah Jones who came from County Caven or Fermagh, Ireland. His paternal Grand-parents were James E. Jones and Mary Beaghan Jones of Yelverston or Newry,Ontario, CAN. His maternal Grand-parents were John Reid from County Wexford and Elizabeth Reid from County Cork, Ireland; who married and lived in Rochester, NY. His father was Ernest W. Jones who was born in Ontario, Canada. He disappeared in 1918 after he joined the C. E. F. at Calgary, Aberta, Canada.The family was forced to leave their homestead near Tofield, Alb, Can. Due to his disappearance which caused extreme hardships on the frontier, they came to Rochester, NY and settled in Perry, NY. His mother was Madge Reid Jones who was born in the Rochester, NY area. His brother was Wesley E. Jones who married Nellie Ames and they lived in Douglas, NY.
His sister is Marjorie Jones who married James B. Ryan and they lived in Buffalo, eventually moving to California.
