We started our family genealogy when our daughter Michelle, was in fourth grade as her history project. My history now includes more than 36 surnames, some family lines go back 9 generations.Most of my research takes place within 100 miles my home.
Two of our families, The Pond's and Swyers' have Pioneer papers issued by the Wyoming County Historical Society. The Van Etten families were among those to found the Town of Van Etten, New York.
Our family story has all the elements of a good romance novel, love, marriage, divorce, family fights, family mysteries and secrets. This genealogy is an ongoing project, last updated 2004.
