My father's father was Charles Kolthoff, a furniture maker in Cleveland, Ohio. He had a brother who served in the Civil War, Charles may have, also. His wife was Bessie Hudak, housewife. Both died in the 1960s and are buried at West Park Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio. My father had a brother, George, married to Ruth and one son,Paul called Butchie. My mother's father, Francis Kennedy was a dentist and one of the first to graduate from Case Western Reserve's first dental programs. He died in the flu epidemic of 1918. He left Helen Kennedy, Raymond F. Kennedy, John R. Kennedy, Francis Kennedy and Norman Kennedy. My Grandmother remarried John J. Duffy and they had a son, Robert Duffy. My grandmother was a twin. At one time she owned two bridal shops in Cleveland. One on Detroit Ave. and one on the east side. She was a professional dressmaker, specialized in Bridal and bridesmaid's gowns and accessories. She died in 1966 in deaconess hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. My grandma had a brothers: Joseph and George and sisters: Ella, Amalia, Josephine and a deceased twin.
