Notes for Delbert Benjamin Tannehill: [Manley.ged]
1. Son of Alvin C. Tannehill and Mary Alice Quick. 2. Uncle Ben came to Wagoner, Oklahoma to visit with Uncle Lindsy. While in Wagoner, he became ill with pneumonia and died. Uncle Lindsy didn't have money to take the body back to Ozark County, Missouri for burial and Uncle Ben's family didn't have the money either. (In those days, the requirements for taking a body across the state line into Missouri were quite stringent. The body had to be sealed in a steel coffin.) Uncle Lindsy held a funeral for Uncle Ben and buried him at a little cemetery just outside Wagoner. His grave is marked with a small white marble marker.
