I am just beginning to be curious about my family ancestors. I know that my father was the middle one of five brothers, and had a younger adopted sister. Their names were, in chronological order, Hugh, James, Isaiah,Robert and John. I know that uncle Hugh went to Melborne, Australia as a young man, married and had a daughter. I think the place he settled in was called Christmas Hills. I was told that Aunt Betty, the adopted younger sister, emigrated to New Zealand with her family, their name was Robinson, her husband George, two daughters Margaret and Elspeth.The daughters could be around sixty years old. My father, Isaiah, died in 1965 of lung cancer.His father died at the end of the Great War 1918/19 coming home from the war.He was a tailor before going to war, but we dont know which regiment he would have joined.
