My ancestors include grandparents, Claudia Guthrie, Maryland Andrew Golden, Thomas Jahue Mann, and Essie Mae Davis. I am told that my great-grandfather on the Mann side, move to Alabama from North Carolina or Virginia and started a new family here.
On the Guthrie side, my great-grandfather was a farmer and preacher, as was his father. The great-great grandfather Guthrie had a very large family of about twenty-two children.
As for the Golden's, I assume they moved to Alabama from North Carolina.
I do not know much about the Davis' either. Apparently they had large families and this was continued by my grandmother, Essie Mae Davis Mann.
