About Our Family Research


I recently began on my Taylor line that started in Gates County, NC. I'm at a deadend at the present with Mason Taylor of Gates County. Mason was an orphan that was bound to James Smith,May 1829, to learn the business of a farmer. My research includes the Clarks, Bakers, Lassiters of Gates County. My research also includes the Elliotts and Perrys of Perquimans County, Nc. Also the Owens of Tyrell that migrated to Currituck and then to Perquimans Couty.

My branch of Taylor's did not keep family records that I have been able to find. There are still a few Taylor's in my line that I haven't been able to locate. I'm hoping someone who comes across this page will know something to open some more doors. I also hope this will help someone else.
