I have spent many hours researching the past. The family tree dates back to the early 1800's to present. Members include the Conrad and Clark families that traveled from Germany. They finally settled in the Sylvania/Toledo area. Other members have strong backgrounds in Michigan. Areas include the towns of Jackson, Detroit and Grand Rapids. I am always eager to talk with a distant relative and learn more about the family. Recently, I have been in contact with members from the Martenies/Martines family. Research has been difficult due to the change in how the name was spelled. I want to thank those of you who have contacted me regarding this segment of the family tree.
