We have been searching for information on the family of Willard D Teague, Jr., missionary to Africa who currently serves as Dean of the School of Bible & Theology of Global University in Springfield, Missouri. His father, Willard D. Teague (Bill) Teague and mother Ethel Inez Randall were both recently deceased are burried in the Pampa Cemetary in Pampa Texas. His parents spent over 50 years in Pampa, Texas, but his mother was born near Sayre, Oklahoma, and his father's origin was Oklahoma. The mother of Willard D. Teague was Ella Steward the daughter of John Stewart who lived on a farm near Sayre, Oklahoma. John Stewart was an Indian, but we do not know which tribe. Some say he was Cherokee, but no one knows for sure. Willard D. Teague, Jr. has a gun that had belonged to his grandfather Thomas Teague, who at the time lived in Granite, Oklahoma. The family felt decided to leave after the Klan assembled outside their home one night. Since Thomas Teague was a sharp shooter they decided to leave and not bother the Teagues that night. Willard Teague, Jr. possesses that gun.
