I am starting this for my grandson, Matthew Duane Teachey. He is now 31 months old. He is the son of Brandy Diane Teachey and Chris Werner, the grandson of Gregory Keith Teachey & (myself) Debbie (Huband) Teachey and John & Vicki Werner, and the great-grandson of Herbert Erwin Teachey Sr. and Alma (Kellam) Teachey. (Matthews great-grandfather was formally married to Orneida Katherine Quate Teachey, now deceased.) Matthews other great-grandparents are Carter and Diane Duke. Matthew's only uncle on the Teachey side is Brandys brother, Bryan Keith Teachey. He has 4 aunts on his fathers side, Marsha, Heather, Jackie and Jannette. Although, Matthew is being raised by us, his grandparents, he is everybodys baby. His Uncle Bop (Bryan) and Bryan's girlfriend, Stacey Parks, spoil him and spend alot of time with him. Matthew is a very special little boy. His name (Matthew) means "gift from god" and (Duane) means "dark-haired". He is the 5th generation of one family to have lived in this house. His great-great grandparents had the house built in the 1940's. He lives with us,(his grandparents), his great grandparents (the Dukes) and Kevin. Kevin is Matthews 2nd cousin. His great-great-great aunt lives next door. Matthew has family in Richmond, Hampden-Sydney, Virginia Beach, Cumberland, Wise and Urbanna, Virginia and Georgia, North Carolina, California and Pennsylvania and even in Japan and the Phillipines. I'm sure that being surrounded by, and in contact with his family, will influence Matthew greatly. He is a very lucky little boy.
