I have just recently gathered the information needed to start my family research. It was given to me by my cousin on the "Dunn" side of the family. She is older than I and knew most of the older members that I never got to meet ie; my grandfather Waukeena"Walk"M. Dunn. We know that his mother, Emiline, was 3/4 Indian. We don't know of which Nation(tribe) she originated from. The Dunn family was poor. They were farmers that worked at one place until the crops were finished and then moved on to find work elsewhere. States of origin known are as follows:Tuepelo,MS. Jackson,MS. Birmingham,AL. Paris,TX. and Abilene,TX. where "Walk" and Ira both died. If antone has any information about the "DUNN" family please feel free to E-mail me at my address; tteagues@att.net. My cousin had attended 3 Dunn family reunions in 1978-1980 in Paris,TX. I understand that we have relations there. My grandfather's father died in Birmingham,AL. the summer of 1916. What happened to Emiline?
