I started researching my ancestry in September 1977 and since that time, I have accummulated more than 14,000 names. I descend from Mayflower passengers - Edward Doty, John Tilley, Degory Priest and many passengers who came with Winthrop. It has been a fascinating trip through time. My paternal grandfather was born in Scotland and that research has been interesting as well. Many of my ancestors were founders of towns such as Taunton, Mass, Exeter, NH, Hampton, NH and others. My heritage is one of great pride, joys and sorrows, struggles and hardships and a variety of occupations. Finding the past has given me a sense of who I am and a legacy worth writing about.
