I am searching for any links I may have to Read Holliday who was a chemist in the formulation of dyes in the 1700's , his family also were chemist's. He had eight children they were Thomas b Huddersfield 1840 d 1898, Charles b1876d 1842. John b1845 d 1894 Edgar and Betsy Twins b1847 Edithb 1850 d1908 and Robert b 1855 d1901. Also if any one has any information on a Miss Charlotte Jane Calvert the Daughter of W B Calvert vicar of Huddersfield . She ran a home for servants, the care and protection of .The homewas called Woodlands traning home in Huddersfield The Huddersfield Ladies Association was the organisation.I am hoping that my great grandma passed through the home, because i dont have a name for great gran ,I know were she came from, she went back to Diddle when she returned to UK, Diddle is either Diddlebury Shropshire, or Didley Hereford or Diggle Oldham if anyone can help me put the jigsaw together I would be over the moon. p.s.my granddad was born in Montreal Cananda in 1881.
