I'm just getting started on this. My family is from England. My dad's side goes far back in U.K. My Mothers side comes from Poland and Russia, Grandparents and great grandparents. I would like to do both sides but the women's history is so hard to trace it seems because of name changes. My mother's maiden name is silver. It was changed from Silverstein during the war when she was a child. I believe Thelwell may be Welsh (lots of l's) but not sure. He is now deceased. His parents were born in London. So were My mothers parents and my mother. My father was born in Windsor, where I grew up. My mother and her sister were evacuated during the war when they were 12 and 8 years old.
