Have made an extensive search of MARY THORNTON married to ADAM MICHAEL RODABAUGH (ca.1805-10)now of one daughter CHRISTINA RODA-BAUGH, married 1833 to HENRY B. MCBRIDE, Henry born in 1811, they had a son, WILLIAM HENRY MCBRIDE, who married AURELIA LYDIA FISHER, their daughter was MINNIE (MCBRIDE)SHAY, wife of RUBEN J.SHAY. She entered the D.A.R. through MARY THORNTON'S brother JOHN THORNTON'S REVOLUTIONARY RECORDS.
CHRISTINA (RODABAUGH)MCBRIDE died in Sept.25,1902,her obituary says she was born on June 5,1815, her death occurred in Oelwein, Iowa,at the home of her daughter, MRS.P.A.TRIEM I searched for her burial with no success, her husband HENRY B.MC-BRIDE died on June 12,1894,and is buried in St. Joseph, MO. But no record of CHRISTINA buried there. Her grandson conducted a memorial for her in Iowa. She left 4 sons & 2 daughters living in 1902. She and her husband were members of the Evangelical Assocation and both itinerate missionaries.
