My great grandfather John Boutall (1823-1912)lived in London, England on North Row. He was a vetenary surgeon and owned a fleet of cabs. He was a Huguenot whose ancestor fled France after the Edict of Nantes. He married Emma Eliza Thacker on 8 January 1842. My other great grandfather was William Milner Harker who was born in Marske Yorkshire in 1812, married Elizabeth Corney in Manchester June 17 1838 and was a currier. He subsequently moved to London. My other great grandfather was Kennett M. Powell, born in 1830 in Canada, a civil war veteran who died December 19 1875 in Ilion, New York. Finally my other great grandfather was Charles McEntee, born in Ireland about 1842 and died in East Orange, New Jersey January 21 1901.
These all represent brick walls and I am diligently searching for my ancestors further back.
