The Thompson - McHam Families, Ancestors of Greg L. Thompson

Updated July 21, 2007

About Our Family Research

I am researching my husband's family and looking for his Native American connections. The Thompson's are said to be Cherokee. It is exciting to search for his roots and find long-lost cousins, uncles, and aunts. He is especially interested in learning more about his mother's family, the McHam's,as she never spoke much about them. I have learned, so far, that the McHam's came from Dublin, Ireland, then to Spartanburg, SC, to Lamar county Texas. Geneology is new to me, so I am sure I will learn alot about it and American history as I work on this project. I want to make notebooks for all the siblings and children of the Norris Thompson family so they will not loose their family history. I sincerely hope that one of the future generations will carry on with this project after we are gone.
Peggy Thompson, wife of Gregory L. Thompson, Sr.
