We have just begun to research the family history of my husband's family. He is from California and West Virginia (raised in WV mostly). We are interested in finding his roots and exploring the possibility of Native American blood in his family.

We know that Eldrige Thurmon died in 1985 in West Virgina. He was married to Zona ? in California (possibly in Santa Clara County). Eldrige was known to be "from" somewhere in southern Missouri. Eldrige had a brother but we don't know his name.

Eldrige had a son and a daughter, the daughter is still living. His son, (Royce Kenneth at birth) Kenneth R. Thurmon died in California in the late 80' or early 90's. Kenneth had three sons and one daughter, all of whom are still living.
