I am researching my maternal grandmother’s family. Both of her parents immigrated from Glasgow, Scotland in 1905. They came through Ellis Island. Their names were George William Jerrett and Margaret Renwick.

Margaret’s family was from Dumfries and her parents were John Renwick & Adeline Dickson. I have not been able to locate George’s family but they were supposedly from Glasgow.

Margaret had a brother named Adam. He was a reverend at the United Free Church of Scotland. He married Margaret Williamson Watson McArthur in 1901. They had a son Adam Dickson Renwick who was born in 1903. Adam Dickson followed in his father’s footsteps becoming a theology student and missionary. In 1925, he married Isobel Watt Orr.
