Obit:
A shocking and fatal accident occurred on Saturday the 17th on the old Pringle farm one mile east of East Dayton. Walter G Rumble was engaged in cleaning out a 30 foot well and at the call for dinner he got into the bucket to be drawn up and when near the surface the rope which was an old 3/4 inch rotten one broke and he fell a distance of 27 feet. Another was procured and lowered to him and he tied it about his waist and he was drawn out with both legs broken and injuries internally. A physician was called but said it was a hopeless case and he died the folowing Tuesday morning. Mr. Rumble was born in Hampshire, England and came to this country while young, was well known throughout this county having resided here for more than 20 (?) years. He leaves two grown up sons to mourn his loss.
