My father, Melvin J. Fleming, b. Greenwood, Johnson Co., IN on 3 Sept 1912 and d. Greenwood, Johnson Co., IN on 7 Mar 2001, started collecting information about the family and I got hooked. My father's parents are Melvin Jefferson Fleming b.1870, married Adaline Lucinda Magee on 31 Dec 1891 (b. 1874 in Ohio or Kentucky). My Fleming ancestors branch back to Lawrence Carlysle Fleming from New Jersey. I have not found my grandmother's ancestors as of yet.
My mother was Arcelia LeVerne Sprague, b. 1915 in Youngstown, Ohio, married dad in 1936 in California, and d. 9 Oct 1994 in Yuciapa, San Bernardino Co., CA. Her family is Sprague / Adams. Her father was Roy Edgar Sprague. The Sprague line traces back to England thanks to many cousins researching the Sprague history. My mother's mother was Mary Izetta Adams b. 27 May 1890 in McConnelsville, Ohio, married Grandpa 15 June 1907 in Zanesville, Ohio, and d. 29 Aug. 1943 in CA. I am working on more information about her parents Frank Adams and Florence Wilson, both from McConnelsville, Ohio.
