I have been able to trace the Tilly Family Tree as far back as seven generations. My seach has taken me as far as John Tilley Sr. who was married to Sarah Ann Holder and his son, John Tilley Jr. who was married to Hannah Moore. I have been unable to find any information reguarding their dates of birth, death, and marriages. I do have dates, locations, and other infomation reguarding the the family from there on. My first dated record is of Gipson Erasmus Tilley born in Early County, Georgia in 1827, died October 20, 1905 in Medina County, Texas. He married to Mary Zelda Moore sometime in 1851. The Tilley Family has only six generations preceeding Gipson Erasmus. I understand that Gibson's family migrated from Georgia and settled in the Medina, Dewitt, Kerr, and Caldwell County, Texas area. There are members of the family that are buried at the "Evergreen Cemetery" in Devine, Texas.
One of the great relatives to us Tilleys is Daniel Boone Moore, better know as "Daniel Boone." Daniel was the father of Gipson's wife, Mary Zelda.
I have photos of Gipson and his sons, and grandchildren. I am interested in searching further and I will appreciate any help.
