William Jeffs LeBaron was born 1 June 1856 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Alonzo Harrington LeBaron (born 18 May 1818 in LeRoy, NY) and his 2nd wife Sara (Jeffs) LeBaron (born 11 Feb 1824 or 1832 in England). William Jeffs LeBaron married 3 times. He first married 31 January 1888 in Phoenix, AZ, Mariah Louisa Messinger, daughter of Sumner Moroni Messinger and Sarah Mariah (Smith) Messinger, who was born 24 March 1867 in Fillmore, Utah. William & Mariah lived in the Florence, Arizona area, and had five children before Mariah's death in January 1903. She is buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Florence, AZ. In 1905 Mr. LeBaron moved to Turlock, California. After the death of his first wife, he married Eliza Ann Fryer, and after her death he married Effie Myrtle Antone. William Jeffs LeBaron died 1 October 1953 in Modesto, CA, at the age of 97. William and Mariah, his first wife, had 5 children (William LeRoy, b. 1889, George Erle, b. 1891, Edward Austin, b 1892, Grace, b. 1897 and Ida Mae, b. 1901), 2 grandchildren (Evelyn G. Wells, b. 1915 and Robert A. LeBaron, b. 1933) , 2 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, 6 great great great grandchildren, and 2 great great great great grandchildren, a total of 22 descendants, 15 of whom are living.
