Updated August 24, 2004

About Our Family Research

We came to Australia thirty two years ago from England and now have the time to research the family history.
My father was Peter Timberlake only child of Vincent Aubry Herbert and Marjorie Helen Flecknoe. My Great grandfather was Thomas married to Eliza Halliday. GG Grandfather was Henry (1825 - 1909) married to Marianne Nash. GGG Grandfather William married to Dinah Bradshaw.
Marjorie Flecknoes father was John William Flecknoe married to Mary Harris. Her Great Uncle was Francois Lenormant of Paris, he was the well known Archaeologist born in 1837, his father was Charles Lenormant, also a renowned Archaeologist.
My Mother was Enid Anna Stevens born in Willand, Devon in 1915, her father was Henry and mother Charlotte Hebditch. Enid had siblings, Jack m Gladys, no children, William (Bill) m Doris, Peter, nm, George m Silvia child Angela, Harry, Nell m Hodgson one child Godfrey.

My 2nd Great grandfather Henry Timberlake had children, Henry 1845, George 1846 - 1871, Sarah 1851, emma 1852, THOMAS 1854 (my great grandfather) Alfred 1856, William 1861, some of these may have gone to America.

My main interests are in traceing the relationship that connects Mary Harris to Francois Lenormant and any information on the Flecknoe and Stevens side of the family. If any one can help drop me a line at tlake@westnet.com.au.
