I know a bit about the Tinsman family through my Grandfather Robert Blair Tinsman who maintained contact with a limited segment of the family, namely those Tinsmans who lived in and about Paoli, PA. I have trouble remembering them in any detail but the names Anna and James (Jim) are clear in my mind. My father, J(ames) Herbert Tinsman, had a brother, Walter, who died in his mid teens; thus I have no aunts or uncles on that side of my family. I am James Herbert Tinsman, Jr., my name from my father. My mother was a Walton, Ida Marie Walton Tinsman. She, with my father, had four children: in order, myself (four children), my sister Nancy Walton (two children), my brother Robert Blair (two children)[he was named for our grandfather Tinsman] and a brother Warner Walton [names for my mother's father]. Walton, as he was universally called, was a Down's Syndrome person, had no children and died in his early teens.
