I have just found information about my mother,Alice Ruth (Grady) Pyle (b. 8/9/1922, d. 5/31/2001), family. Her mother's name is Christine (Vander Horst) Grady and her father's name is Archel Grady. My grandmother's father and mother were Dirk and Friedericka Vander Horst. Dirk Vander Horst's parents name were Martin Vander Horst and Annatje (Reemts) Vander Horst. Friedericka Vander Horst's parents were Christian Van Goes and Joachemina (Reemts) Van Goens.

My father's name is Gene William Pyle (b. 8/8/1919, d. 4/17/2006). His father name is Arthur Edna Pyle. His great uncle was James Redkey. James Redkey moved to Mt. Vernon in 1856. It was later named Redkey after the railroad came to Mt Vernon. James Redkey's sister came to Mt Vernon (later named Redkey) to be near her brother. Her daughter, Sarah Ella Glaze married William Riley Pyle. Wm Riley Pyle built the house that I grew up in at Redkey.
