I was born in January 13, 1958 and am the daughter of Hamanu Tipene and Dorothy Elizabeth McLay. I have two brothers, Leslie Oliver and Stephen Samuel and one sister Aroha Makere. I am of Maori/Scottish descent. I am a New Zealander! I married Rex Richards this year on January 12.
I have been lucky to have had my family tree done on my mothers fathers side and use Family Tree Maker to keep this neat. I have had lots of help from my Aunty Pixie, my dads sister, to help with my Maori side. I however have had little luck with my mums mum side. This is partly due to the fact that my nan has a disease that stops her from remembering the past. Her family have had a problem with this and this hasnt helped in my search for my family.
I am lucky to have nieces Christina, Kellie, Giuliana, Toni, Candice, Mereaera and nephews Hamiora, Kyle and Tiaki that will one day recieve the work that I intend on doing with our family tree.
