Updated September 11, 2001

About Our Family Research

My Grandmother was Mary Edith Pound,B-1873-D-1953 married Alva Vining St.Clair of Aylmer,Ontario Can. Had 7 brothers and sisters. I have a list of their names. I believe her parents were
Samuel-B-1838 and Mary Shiveley-B-1839. Samuels parents could have been John and Athelia. The family sailed to America from
Yorkshire,England and settled in Plainfield,N.J. about 1790. They
went to Ontario Can. Most of my info. comes from a letter I found
among my Grandmothers letters and a lot of the info was from
H.H. Ward, Ottawa Canada sent to him from Dr.Vivian Pound of Buffalo
N.Y. this letter was written in 1946. If there is any one out
there who has more info I would be delighted to hear from you
and will share what else I have with you. Mary (Edith) second husband was George Stanfield.
