  The man seated on the first wheelbarrow is Dad's father M.L.Bowen. Grandpa and his friend Chatten were winners of an election bet. Cleveland's first term. The loosers had to wheel the winners the full length of Main St. in Visalia and treat the winners. You will note the waiters. One of the Democrat roosters crowed about it, you will note. This was written by my Aunt Geneva (Bowen) Sprague on the back of the picture.

  Silas Titus grave was once outside the church. When the tower was added the grave marker became a part of the tower floor. The tower entrance is no longer used as an entrance. It is now a storeroom.
