The Alan Tomlins of London, Ontario, Canada

Updated April 25, 2001

About Our Family Research

I am researching the MAGILL family from Eastern Ontario, Canada. Henry Magill (born Newry, Co. Down about 1780) died enroute to Canada about 1832. His wife, Susanna Byers, settled in Manvers Township, Ontario in 1838; they had at least 8 sons: the 8th, Benjamin (born 1815) married Anne Byers about 1862. They had Benjamin, Robert Byers, John James and Mary from 1864-1873. Robert Byers married Marguerite Carruthers and they had Harold Edwin in 1892 (died in 1970), Alma in 1895 (died in 1914), and Josephine in 1903 (died in 1995).
In addition, I'm researching the FLETCHER & TOMLIN families of the Tottenham area of London, England from around 1840-1890.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. I have a lot of family pictures, particularly from the McGill family dating back to the late 1800's, many with identifications.
