I am researching my Townsend family tree.
I have limited information on the Townsends of Widecombe-in-the-Moor going back as far as John Townsend born about 20th March 1613/14, died about 11th June 1657.
I feel sure that some of the Townsends emigrated to America and at least one to New Zealand but to date have not been able to establish who they were or when they left England.
Any information would be appreciated.
