Before going active Nov. 12, 1942, he had been with Toronto Scottish militia since he was 17. He arrived overseas two days before Christmas last year, and went into Italy in March. Born in Toronto, he received his education at Kent and Allenby schools and North Toronto Collegiate. He was a member of the choir of the Church of the Transfiguation and of the 38th Boy Scout troop there. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Kenneth and Donald, Major Constance Tavenor of the 22nd Canadian General Hospital in England, is an aunt.
